- luv.ug is a dating and friends app made in Uganda, for Uganda. You join with your phone number, meet people near you, and chat once you both agree.
- Is luv.ug free?
- Yes. Joining, browsing, matching and chatting are free. Premium is optional and adds no daily limit on likes or messages and shows who looked at your profile. It costs 8,000 UGX for a week, 20,000 for a month or 45,000 for three months, bought once through Google Play with no subscription.
- Which towns in Uganda can I use it in?
- Anywhere in Uganda. Most members are in Kampala, Wakiso, Entebbe, Mukono and Jinja, and the app sorts people by how far they are from your town.
- Do I need an email address or a password?
- No. You log in with your phone number and a code we send by SMS. There is no password to remember and no email address to give.
- Who can see my profile?
- Any member can see your photos, first name, age and town, which is how people decide whether to say hello. What you write about yourself, what you share and your friends stay private until you accept someone.
- Is my phone number shown to other people?
- No. Your number is only used to log you in. Other members see your first name.
- How do I get the app?
- Download luv.ug free from Google Play. It works on Android 7 and later and is built to be light on data on a slow connection.
- Is luv.ug safe?
- You choose who can write to you, and you can block or report anyone from any screen. Meet in a public place and never send money to somebody you have not met. The app is for adults, 18 and over.
